FAQ
Do you charge per user?
No. Meldoc is priced per workspace, not per seat. Paid plans include unlimited members — readers and editors cost the same (nothing extra). What grows with your team is workspace scale: projects, documents, AI usage, and integrations.
How do roles and permissions work?
Every workspace has three roles: Owner (workspace creator), Admin (full access including billing), and Member (read access to all projects by default). Members are unlimited on paid plans.
Members can be granted elevated access to individual projects via project collaborator roles: Write (create and edit documents), Maintain (write + project settings), or Admin (maintain + manage collaborators). Project collaborators are available on all plans.
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes. Free is permanent — 1 member, 3 private projects, 200 documents, 100 MB storage, AI Ask (20/day), and core features including MCP and the CLI/CI workflow. No credit card required.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade from Free to Pro at any time. Contact us if you need Enterprise features.
What's the difference between the plans?
Free is for solo, internal docs. Pro (€79/mo) adds unlimited members, unlimited projects and documents, AI Search & Summarization, full AI Ask/Write limits, a glossary, public publishing, cross-project MCP with write access, password-protected sharing, webhooks, bring-your-own-AI-key, and email support. Enterprise adds SSO, custom domains, white-labeling, compliance (DPA/SLA), and dedicated support — contact us.
Do you support SSO?
Yes. SSO (SAML / OIDC) is available as part of the Enterprise offering.
Does Meldoc read my source code?
No. Meldoc works only with your documentation files.
Will prices change in the future?
Prices are subject to change. If we adjust pricing, we'll communicate changes clearly and in advance. Existing customers keep their current rates for the duration of their billing period.
